SILK ROAD Space skyscraper
The suggested concept is a long line scraper stretched in deep space for thousands of miles and known as space silk road
The Silk Road or Silk Route was an ancient network of trade routes that were for centuries central to cultural interaction through regions of the Asian continent connecting the East and West from China to the Mediterranean Sea.
Trade on the Silk Road played a significant role in the development of the civilizations of China, the Subcontinent, Persia, Europe, the Horn of Africa and Arabia, opening long-distance political and economic relations between the civilizations. Though silk was certainly the major trade item exported from China, many other goods were traded, and religions, syncretic philosophies, and various technologies, as well as diseases, most notably plague, also spread along the Silk Routes. In addition to economic trade, the Silk Road was a route for cultural trade among the civilizations along its network.
In June 2014 UNESCO designated the corridor of the Silk Road as a World Heritage Site.
The design concept of the new Silk Road skyscraper extends the ancient Silk Road into a futuristic vision of a modern one, the future space skyscraper that will act as a route of cultural exchange and trade will also help connect various human nations in the vast space.
SELF SUFFICIENT COMMUNITY
While self-sufficiency on earth is still marching its early steps, Harnessing energy from only solar energy on photovoltaic cells of wind turbines or even sea tides. It is expected that in the coming few years a huge leap will occur in this field of research especially with the start of space colonies era. The new space Silk Road skyscraper is carving a sustainable path as a mean of survival to sustain its life for hundred and maybe thousands of years to come.
While water and food resources are recycled in addition to the trade route path that will provide them with various kind of goods, the energy is being harnessed by all means and from all resources available is space from the deep space sounds to gravitational forces generated from nearby passing asteroids. Any mean that can generate vibration is being harnessed and considered as a resource to generate energy.
The available outer space resources that potentially can generate energy are:
-
Solar Radiations
-
Deep space sounds generating vibrations.
-
Space radiations generating thermal vibrations.
-
Gravitational forces generating electromagnetic vibrations.
-
Kinetic energy from meteor showers
The transportation system through the silk road is based upon the Gauss Coil Electromagnetic concept.
Gauss Coil projectile is a type of projectile accelerator consisting of several coils used as electromagnets in the configuration of a linear motor that accelerate a ferromagnetic or conducting projectile to high velocity arranged on a common axis. The name "Gauss" is in reference to Carl Friedrich Gauss, who formulated mathematical descriptions of the magnetic effect used by magnetic accelerators.
The path of the accelerating projectile lies along the central axis of the coils. The coils are switched on and off in a precisely timed sequence, causing the projectile to be accelerated quickly along the axis via magnetic forces. The design is for high velocities that incorporate a coupled coil as part of the projectile.
